General Overview Of Cleaning And Your Window Cleaning Kit

No one wants to come home every night to a house that's dirty and so disorganized. However, it can be very challenging to keep a home clean and tidy all the time, especially if there is more than one person living in it.

Cleaning a house can become an overwhelming task, more so when you have a mountain of a job facing you: various things littering the floor, counter tops and desks, ceiling and fans full of cobwebs, oily and streaked windows, high piles of old magazines and newspapers, a sink full of dirty plates and dishes, grimy and greasy stove tops, microwave and oven, stained carpets...and the list goes on. All that mess is enough to discourage the most enthusiastic of cleaners, effectively dashing her hopes of transforming the house into a clean and organized one.

Before you get out the rags, mops and other house cleaning supplies, spend time doing some pre-cleaning. Tidy up a little and ensure everything is in the right place. Pick up the things littering the floor, counters and desks and put them away. By doing this, you won't need to start and stop vacuuming the floor or put down the furniture polish. But tidying up - especially if you have to do a lot if it - is exhausting; it can sap out all your energy. By the time you're done, you may not have any energy left to do the actual cleaning.

Being organized is the key. Prior to starting cleaning, gather together the cleaning supplies you need for cleaning a room or area of the house. Keep all these supplies in a small bin. You can carry this bin wherever you need to clean. Your bin should have the essential cleaning supplies such as furniture polish, rags, window washing liquid, anti-bacterial sprays, carpet cleaner and carpet re-freshener. Make sure you have the correct cleaning supplies too, or you'll end up having to re-do things or worse, damage surfaces. Keep in mind that it's much easier to properly clean something the first time around. Also include a few garbage bags in your window cleaning kit so you don't have to run back and forth to the garbage bin each time you pick up trash.

Keep in mind this cleaning strategy: clean from top to bottom, not bottom to top. Start with the ceiling, then windows then the furniture, counters, desks and tables, and save cleaning the floor last. Apply this strategy in any room you're cleaning; you'll save time by doing so.
